District and Mingoyo in Lindi District respectively and a Mobile Weighbridge. The Regional Manager-TANROADS Lindi
on behalf of the Chief Executive TAN ROADS is looking for qualified
candidates to fill vacant positions available for operations of the
aforesaid Weighbridges.
Key qualifications for the Weighbridge Operator
Age:Not above 35 years.
Educational minimum qualification:
Holder of Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Civil, Mechanical or
Electrical Engineering; Higher qualifications will have additional advantages;
Must be Computer literate (at least Advanced Certificate in Computer Applications); Must be fluent in Kiswahili and English Languages;
Must be a Tanzanian Citizen
Responsibilities
Enforcement of Road Traffic axle Load Control by the use of Weighbridge scale devices;
Duties
Carrying out activities as described in the Roads Traffic (Maximum Weight of Vehicles) Regulations, 2011 and the Weighbridge Operations Manual.
Observe good customer care, dignity and integrity. Report all matters to the Shift In-charge.

Observing good customer care, dignity and integrity;
Reporting all matters to the Shift in-Charge
Performing such other related duties as may be assiqned by the senior staff

Collects and banks all weighbridge charges (fees) according to the Weighbridge Report Form.

Duties and Responsibility of the Driver
The holder of this post who reports to the Shift in-Charge will be responsible for the following duties:-
Maintain the vehicle log book and all accident records pertaining to the assigned vehicle;
Keep the vehicle in good working order and in clean condition;
Reporting repairs or maintenance needs of the vehicle to the Shift in-Charge timely;
Observing good customer care, dignity and integrity;
Performing such other related duties as may be assigned by the Shift in-Charge
