KALONZO REJECT UHURU - RUTO DEAL

Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has rejected a post of Majority
leader of parliament in the ongoing alliance talks between Deputy Prime Minister
Uhuru Kenyatta and Eldoret North MP William Ruto, JAMII PRESS has established.
MPs from Mr Musyoka’s Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) party said
Kalonzo refused a position he had been offered by the two leaders on Thursday.
The Wiper party lawmakers said Uhuru and Ruto have given Kalonzo
a raw deal.
“There is no way we would be able to sell it to our people.
The VP told us he rejected what he was offered and we are in agreement that it
is rejectable with no redeeming consequences,” Education Minister Mutula Kilonzo
said.
The meeting was held
at Mr Kenyatta’s (TNA) State House residence and was attended by Mr Ruto(URP) Mr Eugene Wamalwa(New Ford
Kenya),Mr Balala of Republican Party Congress and Mrs Ngilu of Narc.
Sources said the Uhuru/ Ruto deal is at the final stages and
a coalition agreement will be signed on November 20, a day before they start
joint rallies countrywide.
In the said deal Mr Kenyatta will vie as President, Ruto to
be his running mate and Mr Wamalwa will go for Majority Leader in Parliament
while Mr Ngilu and Mr Balala will share the two slots for speaker of parliament
and senate.
