Reigning Premier League Champions Manchester City are
planning to taste Liverpool’s resolve to hold on to their most prized asset Luis
Suarez ,with an ambitous £40m bid during the January transfer window.

According to the Liverpool Daily Post,
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is keen to bolster his striking options
having struggled to replicate last season’s form that won them the league title
on goal difference.
The Italian tactician has earmarked the
in-form Uruguay hit-man as his top transfer target after it emerged that
Athletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao who was heavily linked with a move to
the Citizens fancies a move to Chelsea.
The Citizens are also ready to offload
controversial striker Mario Balotelli who has fallen out of favour with City
manager Mancini thanks to his off-pitch antics and wild partying lifestyle.
Suarez penned a new deal at Liverpool
in August and has previously pledged his future at Anfield saying:
“I hope to play for many years here.
This is a great team and everyone around the world knows Liverpool.”
However, it remains to be seen whether
the Merseyside club will sanction the sale of their most prized asset whom
manager Brendan Rodgers recently hailed as the best striker in the Premier
League following a string of impressive displays.
