Position Description:

The Guardian Limited, The home of Great Newspapers, the publishers of leading Tanzania newspapers, Nipas, Nipashe Jumapili, The Guardian, The Guardian on Sunday, Taifa Letu and Sema Usikike is looking forward to recruit a highly qualified and experienced individual to occupy the position stated below:
Electrical Technician
Reporting to the Printing Manager of The Guardian Limited.
Major duties and responsibilities:
To carry out routine maintenance for printing, M/CS, Pre-Press M/CS, Dark room
To check and repair electronic cards for machines
To install and repair electronic and switch gear
To attend all electrical/electronic breaks down occurred during the night shift.
To attend emergency faults.
To attend all works in generator room, and air compressors
To circulate warm water in inlet/outlet pipes, so as to clean chemicals and inks this accumu lates in pipes once in fifteen days
To flush pipes with air to remove dusts and particles
Qualification and experience requirements:
Holding FTC/Diploma in Electronics and Electronical / Engineering
Over 3 years experience in the field with a reputable Organization.
Excellent IT skills particularly in Excel and word processing and management
Excellent communication skills
Good at time management, flexible and agile.
Remuneration:
The above position carries attractive remuneration as per The Guardian Limited salary structure and incentive package.
