ARSENAL READY TO BREAK THE BANK FOR DZEKO AND URUGUAY HIT-MAN

It seems Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has finally realised he won’t be winning titles with his current players at his disposal after it emerged that the French man is lining up big money moves for Manchester City bit-part striker Edin Dzeko and Napoli’s Uruguay hit-man, Edison Cavanni.

Arsenal are 11 points adrift league leaders Manchester United after the 3-3 draw with Fulham over the weekend and Wenger is ready to splash the cash in the January transfer window in a bid to save their falling season.

Wenger has earmarked Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko and Cavanni as his top targets after being given the green light to dip into the January market to revive Arsenal’s dwindling Champions League qualification hopes.
Wenger is keen to bolster three areas: a goal keeper, a wide attacking player and a central striker, with Dzeko the surprise target to become Arsenal’s central striker.
The Bosnia striker has grown frustrated at his lack of regular football at the Etihad Stadium and Wenger hopes to use the promise of regular football to tempt him to the Emirates.
Other big names that have been linked with a move to Arsenal include Athletic Bilbao striker Fernado Llorente, Athletico Madrid striker Adrian Lopez and Swansea custodian Michel Vorm.
The Frenchman is under intense pressure from fans and shareholders to bring in big names and Napoli striker Cavanni has been watched extensively and as the Daily Mail reports chief scout Steve Rowley has recommended the 25-year old.
The source further reveals that the Gunners’ talent scout traveled to Italy last Thursday to  assess Cavanni’s talents as the striker scored all four goals as his side came from behind to beat Ukrainian club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 4-2 in the Europa League.
However, it will take a massive offer to tempt Napoli to part with their most prized asset.
