Manchester United have become the latest top premier league outfit to be linked
to Crystal Palace attacker, Wilfried Zaha.
The championship club have expressed
their desire to let the 19-year old leave provided their asking price is met.
Speaking on his situation, Crystal
Palace co-owner Steve Parish said. “He is an extraordinary talent. I said at
the start of the season that keeping hold of Wilf would be like spending a lot
of money on a transfer.
“Other sides can fly their kites but
it would take £20m before we even got interested.’
Arsenal and Manchester City are also
reported to have sent scouts to evaluate the youngster before contemplating on
forking £20m to a relatively raw talent.
Sir Alex Ferguson was impressed by
Zaha’s performance during a league cup match last season where the Red Devils
were dumped out by the championship side and could move to add him to an
impressive crop of youngsters at Old Trafford.
United boast the likes of Javier Hernandez, Phil Jones,
Nick Powell, Chris Smalling, David de Gea and Angelo Henriquez and perhaps Zaha
is another player Ferguson feels could make the cut at the club.
With Luis Nani’s future at Manchester
United not certain, Fergie is keen to land the talented winger who has already
made 100 appearances for Palace
