Position Description:

The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania is implementing the Small Entrepreneurs Loan Facility (SELF) Project, jointly funded by the Government and the African Development Bank (AIDB) Group. SELF addresses one of the Initiatives proposed under the pillars of the National Strategy for Growth and Reduction of Poverty, namely the Growth and Reduction of Income Poverty. Thus, the Project's primary objective is to improve access of the poor in rural and urban areas to Micro-finance services through the provision of Financial Services and Institutional Capacity Building.
SELF delivers its loans to the rural and urban poor primarily through intermediary institutions.
The SELF Project is now in its second phase, and is looking for motivated, experienced and qualified candidates to fill vacant positions existing in the Project.
Location:Mwanza Financial HUb.
Appointing and Disciplinary Authority:Project Manager
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to:Credit Officer at Mwanza Financial Hub, (b) Supervises: Driver cum office attendants
Entry qualification:
Holder of Diploma in Human Resources Management, or Accounting or equivalent qualification with at least one year relevant experience, with administrative and accounting work in a similar position in a reputable organization
Must be ICT literate with advanced knowledge of computer applications
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate all logistic activities of the Mwanza Financial Hub (FH)
Receives and provide necessary information to the existing, potential clients and other SELF stakeholders. Help in sensitization of Saving culture within the sphere of FH
Maintain a comprehensive-inventory of all office Furniture, fittings and equipment Maintain service agreements and ensure compliance with the same
Coordinate movement, repairs and maintenance of motor vehicles, office machines and other equipment. Keep a regular inventory of all SELF assets and ensure they are appropriately branded
Coordinate maintenance of the office premises including repair, decoration, etc.
Co-ordinate and administer efficient and effective office procedures and systems of SELF.
Ensure adherence to Administrative, regulations and procedures of SELF.
Keep financial and accounting records of the office
Prepare and submit financial reports of the Mwanza FH
Perform any other duties as may be assigned to him/her, from time to time by Supervisor.
Terms of Employment and Remuneration
The successful candidates will be employed on a two-year renewable contract with attractive remuneration package applicable to the positions advertised

Entry qualification:
Holder of Masters Degree in Finance or Economics with at least five years experience, or Bachelors Degree in Finance or Economics with at least ten years experience in credit operations of a reputable organization
Must be computer literate especially in Office applications and knowledge on the use of standard software or those used primarily for loan administration shall be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process loan applications received from intermediary institutions for approval.
Intensify SELF presence to all districts country wide and thus facilitate access of SELF services to the clients Monitor its clients operations closely to address challenges on time
Market SELF products and services.
Expand outreach of SELF services by providing credit and savings education to the local communities Collect data related to performance of MFls and market trends from their locations
Recruitment, screening of clients, appraisal and recommendation of loan applications for approval
Follow up on loan recovery repayment in the area of jurisdiction and maintain an up to date record on clients.
Support SELF in mitigating information integrity
Facilitate disbursement of loans after approval and ensure regular post-disbursement monitoring of loan utilization.
Work closely with local partners and leaders
A promoting access to finance to the rural and urban poor.
Contribute to SELF's monitoring, evaluation and reporting processes by providing information on beneficiaries including impact of loans on their lives of the poor and the institutional development of intermediaries as well as the internal and external risks factors to the port folio.

Entry qualification:
Must have completed form IV with a Secondary Education Certificate. In addition, must have a clean Class C Drivers License plus Trade Test Grade I, with at least five years experience as driver.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Will be responsible to drive Project vehicles for all activities within the country and to ensure that the vehicles are in good condition and well maintained
Will be responsible to distribute letters (mail dispatch) and other documents
Will be responsible to drive Project Staff as directed by the Credit Officer and/ or Project Manager
Will ensure that all trips made are lodged in the logbook for the vehicle and initialled by the supervisor
will perform any other duties as directed by the supervisor.
